Music and Market is an outdoor concert series presented by the City of Opelousas Tourism. Festuring live zydeco music, cajun music, creole music and swamp pop music. The 12th Annual Soiree' Royal is scheduled for Monday, October 25, 2010. This year’s event will be held at the Evangeline Downs Event Center and begins with Wine Tasting from 6pm to 7pm in Mojo's Sports Bar. At 6:30 pm the Louisiana Yambilee Festival Royalty will be introduced and the food tasting will begin. Dozens of chefs from Acadiana will serve up their special signature dishes. At 9 pm the winners of the eight categories and Best of Show will be announced. Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st place in each category and Best of Show.
