11th Annual Festival of Words
This free event celebrates the written and spoken word through public readings and performances, student creative writing contests, open mics, writing workshops in the school and community, and “drive-by poetry". Authors include
Louisiana Poet Laureate, Darrell Bourque, Patricia Smith, and Allison Joseph.
