    Cajun Jam Session

    No permission, no costjust pure enjoyment of Cajun music with the Savoy family. Participate with your own instrument, watch or supply some boudin and cracklins. Marc and Ann Savoy started the Savoy-Doucet Cajun Band in 1977 and now their children are making their own marks in Cajun music history including an appearance on HBO's Treme and a record label, Valcour Records. Join the Savoy's every Saturday throughout the year, and enjoy a musical experience like no other.

    Prairie Acadian Cultural Center - The Cajun Way

    Local artisans, musicians, and more show off their skills with demonstrations of music, dancing, quilting, and the French language. Practice your Cajun two-step with the assistance of an expert volunteer and music provided by local musicians. Watch scrap fabrics become a beautiful quilt, and come hungry for a foodways presentation by locals and professional chefs.
