The town of Grand Coteau is noted for its magnificent trees that form alleys, groves, and gardens, but gains equal notoriety for a treat called, Cajun Sweet Dough Pie.
Professionally trained pastry chef, Nancy Brewer has perfected the Cajun Sweet Dough Pie, and often uses locally sourced, seasonal ingredients such as lemon, fig, and blackberry. Follow the sweet smell of caramelizing sugars and buttery dough into The Kitchen Shop to find these tarts made fresh by Nancy herself.
