Annual Quilt Show and Sale – Cancelled
July 13 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Due to adverse weather conditions, this event has been cancelled.
Quilting is an art form still honored and celebrated in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. Every year, on the second Saturday in July, The Krotz Springs Quilters Guild (KSQG) presents the Annual Quilt Show & Sale in Krotz Springs, Louisiana. This is a special event for anyone interested in quilting, needle-craft, or folk art. View a beautiful display of quilts, needlework demonstrations, or shop at the silent auction and boutique. Also, meet performing artist Vernita Graves, AKA Miss Tilly, and enjoy her one-woman show. Miss Graves actively participates in local stage plays and writes and performs her own skits.
KSQG participates in many charitable acts, donating quilts to local nursing homes and the not-for-profit organization, Brave Heart – Children in Need, Inc. The quilters guild headquarters is located in the community of Krotz Springs. The town is located on Highway 190, along the Atchafalaya River. It is near Opelousas, LA and only 40 miles west of Baton Rouge.
