Enjoy life like a local in Arnaudville, Louisiana at the 34th Annual Étouffée Festival. Étouffée is a “smothered” dish and a favorite among locals, enough to stir up a friendly rivalry every year at the festival cook-off. The Mayor’s Cook-off features a variety of étouffée’s, including crawfish, seafood, vegetable, and even wild game! Traditionally, this dish is made with crawfish, but chefs get to compete with their own twist of this iconic seafood dish. The cook-off takes place on Saturday and judging begins at 11:30am. Festival activities also include carnival rides, live music, dancing, bingo, shopping at the St. Therese’s Boutique, an auto show, and more. The boutique is open from 1pm-5pm on Saturday and Sunday and features antique and vintage items for sale in the Little Flower Gym, located at 370 Main St. The auto show is held Sunday, from 8am to 12pm, with all makes and models on display.
Festival Hours: Friday 5pm-12am | Saturday 11am-12am | Sunday 11am-5pm
