Grand Coteau Mardi Gras Dance

Start the Mardi Gras Celebration early at the Mardi Gras Dance in Grand Coteau featuring Lil Buck Sinegal playing blues, funk, zydeco and a range of styles. The event takes place on Saturday, February 16, 2019.
Lil’ Buck Sinegal is a phenomenal guitarist with a career that spans more than five decades. With over 300 recordings under his belt, he has played and recorded with Clifton Chenier, Henry Gray, Rockin’ Dopsie, Buckwheat Zydeco, and other blues artists, including Grammy-winning efforts with Paul Simon’s 1987 album “Graceland.” He also worked as a session guitarist for Excello on swamp blues by Slim Harpo and Lazy Lester. Lil’ Buck was inducted into the Louisiana Blues Hall of Fame in 1999.
The band includes Lee Allen Zeno on bass, Reggie Dural on keyboard and accordion, Kevin Menard and Greg Gordon on drums, Paul Wiltz on saxophone—and you never know who will show up to sit in with the band.
There will also be food and beverages for sale at the concert. Tickets are $12 at the door, $10 in advance, and all proceeds for this event will help with the renovation of the Historic Knights of Peter Claver Hall in Grand Coteau.
