Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Ball
The Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Association presents 2026’s Opelousas Mardi Gras Ball, “Louisiana Legends and Lore”. On Saturday, January 24th at the Yambilee Building in Opelousas, you can meet King Imperial VII and Queen Lily VII and enjoy live music performed by The River City Hit Squad.
This is your invitation to bring the very best of Louisiana to life with glamour and style. This formal Ball is a tribute to the characters and folklore that run deep in our culture. The Legends: World-renowned culinary chefs, iconic musicians and artists, or literary figures like Evangeline. The Lore: The mystique of Voodoo or the shadowy tales of the Rougarou.
Prepare to celebrate our state’s rich tapestry with grace and splendor.
Doors open at 6pm and you’ll be able to enjoy a cocktail social till 7:30pm. Royalty will be presented at 8pm.
