Grand Noel

Get your Christmas shopping done early this year at Grand Noel. Every year, the town of Grand Coteau hosts an evening shopping event in the historic district with music, photos with Santa, and some serious discounts that’ll put you in the holiday spirit. Visit area shops, boutiques, and antique stores for special sales and new items.

While you’re there, visit the life-size nativity scene on display at St. Ignatius Catholic School, located at 180 Church Street. This beautiful marble structure is the only one of its kind in Acadiana and was handmade by an artist in Utah. Next, see more of charming Grand Coteau on a holiday carriage ride. The ride will pass historic structures such as the old Jesuit dairy barn. After a long evening of shopping and exploring, take a break for down-home cooking, specialty coffee, or a sweet treat at one of the local eateries.

This event is always held the Saturday after Thanksgiving Day.
