LA Folk Roots Kids Camp

Folk Roots Kids Camp brings together an unparalleled team of gifted artist instructors for a fun-filled week. Kids ages 8-14 can participate in music, crafts, singing, and special activities. The registration fee includes all activities, snacks, and a camp T-shirt. Lunch for the week may be added to the registration fee. Camp runs from 8:45am to 3:45pm each day.

It will include fun-filled days of traditional music instrument classes, folk crafts, French language singing, dance, movement & recreation, games, water sport (optional), museum tour, and good eats for youth ages 8-13 (entering 3rd – 8th grades). Instrument loans are available for day-camper use if needed (no take-home use); personal music instruments should be transported and stored at home daily during the Camp week.

Tuition fee includes a daily morning “Biscuits & Jam” snack, hearty lunch meal, afternoon snack, and water beverage. Campers can bring refillable water/juice bottles or extra snacks. A grand finale performance & dance showcase of the Kids Camp Bands and musician instructors will welcome families and friends on the Friday afternoon of Kids Camp.

Folk Roots Kids Camp in Sunset, Louisiana is June 8-12, 2026 on the campus of École St-Landry.

Folk Roots Kids Camp in Eunice, Louisiana, is July 20-24, 2026 on the campus of Prairie Acadian Culture Center.
