Juneteenth Celebration La La Gala
Celebrate Juneteenth, the day when Texas slaves first heard the news of their freedom, in Opelousas, Louisiana. On Friday, June 20th, Geno Delafose & French Rockin’ Boogie performs live at Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino for a formal affair. The social begins at 6pm with a silent auction at 7pm.
All proceeds go to benefit the Creole Heritage Folklife Center. Semi-formal or formal attire is required.
