Ardoin’s Grocery

In 1955, Russel and Bee opened Ardoin’s Grocery & Market in Washington, Louisiana. In 1969, a new store was constructed with recycled wood and siding from the old store, leaving very little waste. Today, this small local grocery is still the same as it was in 1955 offering specialty meats, boudin, smoked sausage and other Louisiana kitchen staples. To this day the meat is still cut fresh daily for the display box, and when in season, you can find produce from area farmers including cantaloupe, cucumbers, squash, ripe tomatoes, and more.
