For over fifteen years, Connie St. Romain has been collecting and selling vintage items including furniture, jewelry, and glassware. The shop also carries essential oils, soaps, teas, apothecaries of historic uses, and herbal infused local honey.

The shop is an antique itself! This historic landmark is a classic Acadian cottage complete with stairs on the front gallery leading to the garçonniére on the second floor. The house may have been moved to its present site and it might only be half of it. In the past, it was not uncommon to settle an estate by dividing the house as well as the land.

Get ready to shop, because you have 40,000 square feet of antiques and collectibles, vintage clothing, jewelry, and primitives to discover at the Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall. The mall is a familiar stop to anyone visiting the historic steamboat town of Washington, Louisiana. The Schoolhouse was built in 1934 and was originally Washington High School. The large rooms and wide staircases are remnants of the architectural style at the time featuring beautiful hardwood flooring. Today, each classroom is styled and themed differently with antique items from different dealers. In the fall and spring, shop six acres and 200 plus vendors and antique dealers during the Semi-annual Antique Fair and Yard Sale on the second weekends of April and October.

In the gym of the high school is a 50's style diner, the Old Schoolhouse Café. The restaurant offers plate lunches, gourmet sandwiches, and homemade cakes and treats.

Jerilyn's working art studio in Sunset, Louisiana features one-of-a-kind glass jewelry, masks, wind chimes, garden stakes, and Jerilyn's signature pieces – large glass fish. Each work she creates seems to have a story connected to her heart and a bit of wit as well.

Jerilyn also displays artwork by her husband, Cecil LaVergne. Cecil has a unique style when working with glass and often depicts rural Acadian-style scenes. His framed pieces also feature local historic churches.
