The Chapel at Le Vieux Village was built in 1948. Formerly, the chapel served the African-American community as St. Joseph’s Methodist Church. Today, this charming chapel is an intimate venue for brides and a unique space for meetings and other events. The venue can accommodate up to 150 guests and has a stage and dressing area.
The chapel is located at Le Vieux Village Heritage Park in Opelousas, Louisiana. The park features 18th and 19th-century homes and offers tours during hours of operation. During the holiday season, the church is illuminated with dozens of gorgeous Christmas lights and makes a beautiful location for a destination wedding.
