High Tea with the Washington Garden Club
The Washington Garden Club, Inc, located in the historic small town of Washington, Louisiana, will host a High Tea at the Wolff Banquet Hall on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 2:00 pm.
This is the tenth High Tea featuring a different, unique theme at each. This year, “Under the Big Top” will feature a vintage circus theme.
Funds generated are dedicated to the ongoing preservation and restoration of historic St John’s Episcopal Church (circa 1872) and its properties, which include the grounds and parsonage (circa 1881). This wonderful property was gifted to the club over 20 years ago and serves as the club’s headquarters.
The event will include a traditional High Tea menu with offerings named with a circus flare such as banana bread noted as Monkey Business and Top Hat scones. The vintage circus theme will be carried out with elegant décor and lively music.
