Queb’s Country Store is located outside of Opelousas, Louisiana in Plaisance, the original home of the Original Southwest Louisiana Zydeco Music Festival. This store is the perfect stop for every envie (Cajun French for “desire”) you might have. Here, you’ll find a full-service butcher shop with a huge variety of fresh and smoked meats including several kinds of sausage, stuffed tasso roasts, stuffed & seasoned beef tongues, chicken rolls, and much more. The deli specializes in filling your belly with daily plate lunches, Sunday BBQ (including baby-back ribs), hot boudin, pork & chicken cracklin, homemade hamburgers, poboys, fried chicken, and amazing salads.

Try some of their crowd favorites: Kevin Salad, boudin/egg/cheese biscuit, spicy Cajun cheeseburger, beef jerky, and chicken cracklin.

Find a variety of stuffed boudin balls including pepper jack cheese, the original link, salty cracklins, and maybe even some sausage from the specialty meat section. While their food is exceptionally delicious, it’s obvious that it’s the warm family atmosphere that makes T-boys so legendary. The ladies behind the counter hustle to feed dozens of hungry locals while still greeting each customer with a smile. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to their location, they will ship.

Stelly’s is more than just a supermarket and restaurant; it’s a cache of historical keepsakes and an ex-officio community civic center. Mowata Grocery Store

The Mowata Grocery Store is a country grocer located in the small community of Mowata, which is just outside of Eunice, Louisiana. The beautiful Louisiana scenery along the old Crowley Eunice Highway and fresh, hot cracklins make the drive worth every mile. The convenience store offers everything Cajun, and their specialty meats and boudin have even attracted the host of Food Network’s Bizarre Foods, Andrew Zimmern.

The store’s owner, Mr. Bubba Frey, prepares 1000 lbs. of boudin a week for hungry customers, and sells butchered guineas. Mr. Frey and his wife also sell their own jams, jellies, preserves, homegrown produce, and farm-raised eggs.
