Fête de la Nature
April 13 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Fête de la Nature is an event that combines arts, culture, food, and science for the purpose of education and fun. This free, family-friendly event takes place outdoors, on eight acres of land in rural Arnaudville, and celebrates each of these topics with hands-on projects and special guest speakers. Crafts, nature and culinary activities will be led by local organizations throughout Acadiana. See below for a list of activities and participants.
Fête de la Nature is a program of Atelier de la Nature. Atelier de la Nature is a nature reserve and education center, aiming to inspire people to steward the nature in our backyards and learn how collectively we can protect these natural gifts for future generations. Their programs are offered in both French and English and include culinary demonstrations, nature walks, eco-workshops, and other arts and science-related activities. Atelier de la Nature is the brainchild of the husband and wife team, Dr. Brandon and Aurore Ballengée. Dr. Brandon Ballengée is an artist and biologist and his wife, Aurore is a sustainable food educator.
