Louisiana Mosquito Festival
On Saturday, September 26, support local firemen and celebrate Louisiana’s unofficial state bird, the mosquito, at the Louisiana Mosquito Festival. This event takes place at Landon Pitre Memorial Park in Cankton and will feature live music from talented local musicians, a delicious cook-off, silent auction, vendors and a kid’s area.
This year, Cajun Roots, Dylan Aucoin & the Judice Ramblers, Mike Broussard & Quickdraw, Jamie Bergeron & the Kickin’ Cajuns, and 4 Horses will be performing live.
Jambalaya cook-off wristbands to taste test are $10 each, but the festival is free to attend!
